WEIZMANN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE
The Weizmann Institute of Science is one of the world’s leading basic research institutions. It is comprised of 250 experimental and theoretical research groups across five faculties—Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science, and Physics. It is located in Rehovot, Israel, just south of Tel Aviv. Insights that emerge from its labs help provide a fundamental understanding of the human body and the universe, and lead to advances in medicine, technology, and the environment. This is science for the benefit of humanity at its best.
The Weizmann Institute was founded by Dr. Chaim Weizmann in 1934. Dr. Weizmann was a renowned chemist and together with Ben Gurion, an ardent Zionist who saw his vision of the establishment of the state in the Land of Israel. While working as a lecturer at the University of Manchester, Dr. Weizmann developed the process for producing acetone through bacterial fermentation, which was of great importance to the British during World War I. He worked with Lord Balfour to write the Balfour Declaration in support of the establishment of the State of Israel. Weizmann became the first President of the State of Israel. His residence on the Weizmann Institute campus is now a museum and a national landmark.

Our Association welcomes ordinary and supporter members, we provide the available scinetific and social connections with Weizmann Institute and local visit at the campus in Rehovot.
OUR PROJECTS
REGULAR PROJECTS
International Science Summer Institute (ISSI)
A month of research, science, and fun for 18-20 year olds from all over the world, at the campus in Israel in association with the highest qualified scientists and researchers of the Institute. Great opportunity to chhose a direction for an international scientific carrier.
We welcome all supports of sponsors for our year-by-year project.
We are proud of our students at the campus, since then they are both students of the Cambridge University.
.
REGULAR PROJECTS
Online School Education
We provide opportunity to establish available online courses for the Hungarian secondary grammar schools, high schools. The courses of mathematics, physics, chemistry need excellent knowledge of English, some mentoring by a local teacher, and a lot of hunger for knowledge. The online courses are free of charge, but needs the organisational help of the certain school.
EVENTS
Safecracking International Physics Tournament
This international competition is the highlight event of students worldwide to participate in it pick their teams about six months prior to the tournament. Students who are part of these teams are tasked with designing, building and operating a locking mechanism for a safe that is based on the different principles of physics. This mechanism must be sophisticated enough to be impossible to open without deciphering the physics principles behind it.
